The Wolfson Foundation has once again selected the University of York to host Wolfson Scholars. An award of up to £234,000 will be made available by the Foundation to fund three doctoral scholars over the next three years, for entry in 2013, at the level of £26,000 each year for each student. The awards will be available for doctoral study in any of the three disciplines that align closely with the Foundation's interests: history, literature and languages.
The Wolfson Foundation was established in 1955 to support research excellence in a number of fields, including arts and humanities. The first Wolfson Scholars at York begin their studies in October 2012.
