Departmental Computing Officers (DCOs) & system owners

DCOs are IT contacts within individual departments.

List of DCOs

Find out who's the Departmental Computing Officer for your department:

Some departments have more than one DCO. Some DCOs perform the role full time, others carry out the work alongside other responsibilities.

The DCO role varies between departments, but is likely to include:

  • Managing the purchase, installation and maintenance of IT equipment
  • Looking after department-specific software
  • Communicating information about new services and downtimes
  • Overseeing training and support

System owners may also find some of the information on these pages useful, and are welcome to join the DCO Google Group to receive notifications of service outages which may affect their systems.
