Our purpose
Our mission is to improve the lives and care of anyone affected by mental health problems.
We do this by developing and evaluating new interventions, understanding and mitigating risks to mental health, protecting mental wellbeing, and normalising common and expected human responses to adverse or changing circumstances.
Work areas
Our work in mental health - led by our staff, students, alumni and partners at the University of York - is grounded in four areas: research, teaching, practice and enterprise.
