Could you please tell us what work you do in the field of mental health?
I develop immersive virtual environments technologies to assist personal and social skills development through experiential learning.
What do you find most rewarding and inspiring in this work?
I am passionate about using natural, human-centric computer interfaces to create emotionally impactful experiences that have a socially beneficial purpose, and this work has fulfilled that ambition in ever-more interesting ways.
What is the most challenging or complicated aspect of this work?
Cross-disciplinary collaboration is very challenging but also an equally rewarding aspect of this work. As a virtual environments technology developer I feel immensely privileged to be able to develop innovative ideas and implement them with experts in the field of mental health to make a real difference in people’s lives.
What impact do you hope your work is having - or can potentially have?
I hope to use the power of digital media technologies for positive social impact rather than the negative effects we are increasingly seeing in our modern world.
Could you share with us one piece of advice that you follow for your own mental health?
Follow your inspiration. That always seems to work for me!
