IMRY Steering Group

Group members represent the interests of their own department, faculty, unit or organisation, while promoting opportunities for IMRY’s development and sustainability. The Group has delegated authority from the University Research Committee in relation to oversight and decision-making for IMRY and reports to the UEB via its Chair, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research.

The membership is proportionate to the mental health research activity and mental health research income of each department/office. It also reflects the diversity of contributions to mental health teaching, student and staff support, partnerships and engagement with health and social care, education, the criminal justice system and the industry sector. The steering group includes Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys (TEWV) NHS Trust. The University has a strategic partnership with TEWV and long-term financial arrangements for a shared research facility at Foss Park Hospital.
