Dear colleague,
As you will know, the University and College Union (UCU) called on its members to take strike action on Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Wednesday 30 November in relation to USS and pay and conditions.
Now that this period of strike action has ended we are asking you to let us know if you participated.
If you took part in the strike action, you should inform us no later than your first day back at work after the strike action by completing the online form. Please indicate all the days you took part in the strike action. If you are a member of a pension scheme, please indicate whether you would like to maintain your contributions for the days you were on strike, where applicable. More information about pension contributions and pension benefits can be found on the industrial action web pages for staff.
Consequences of taking part in industrial action
In accordance with the University’s industrial action policy, we will withhold a day's pay (1/365th of salary) for each day you participate in strike action.
Pay will be withheld for strike action in the January payroll. In order to process this, we will require all notifications of industrial action to be submitted no later than Friday 9 December 2022.
