The workshop was led by IGDC Deputy Director Dr Saba Joshi, with co-organizers Dr Gertrude Dzifa Torvikey from the University of Ghana, and Dr Cristiano Rodrigues from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The workshop included participants from Brazil, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Nigeria presenting their research on the workshop theme over two days. Presentations were based on draft papers that were submitted prior to the workshop, which are now being finalized for a special issue journal submission. The workshop also included online talks by Dr Shaila Seisha Galvin from the Graduate Institute, Geneva and Dr Malu Gatto from University College London, who provided mentorship and advice to participants about publishing in interdisciplinary development studies journals and preparing manuscripts for peer-review in English language journals.
