Energy Systems Event

This week IGDC convened a conversation between colleagues in the physical and social sciences at the University of York working on energy systems. Discussions between disciplines can be difficult, but this was a hugely productive event focused on how York’s academic excellence can support the development of resilient, sustainable and appropriate energy systems for those living without access to this most fundamental of services. We hope that by working together we can help harness the potential of modern, clean energy technologies in ways that respond to the everyday challenges and deeper, structural barriers faced by those living in poverty.
