Decolonising Development Research Podcast
We have launched the Decolonising Development Research Podcast!
The podcast explores the practicalities of decolonising research. Throughout the series we hear from experts with first-hand experience, drawing on perspectives from fields as diverse as public health and film-making. Through round-table discussions and one-on-one interviews we explore how our guests have overcome the challenges of decolonising research, including navigating cultural differences, incorporating unorthodox methodologies, and dealing with institutional resistance to new approaches.
This podcast is designed for researchers of any discipline and at any stage of their careers and hopes to be a resource for those wanting to work towards decolonisation. It will be released on Spotify, SoundCloud, and our YouTube channel. You can also read the podcast's accompanying blog series on our blog page.
The podcast is supported by the Enhancing Research Culture Fund at the University of York and has been developed in collaboration with partners at the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil. It was recorded at the University of York's Creativity Lab and is produced by Kitty Turner.
