New IGDC Co-Director
IGDC are pleased to welcome Jonathan Ensor as the new Co-Director for Environment and Geography
IGDC started the new year by welcoming a New Co-Director.
Jonathan Ensor is the Centre’s new Co-Director for Environment & Geography. Jonathan brings with him a wealth of experience from work within academia and development practice, for the most part centred on processes that can lead to increasingly equitable human development in relation to disaster risk reduction, environmental change, and the production and governance of technology and infrastructure.
As well as his role in Environment and Geography, Jonathan brings experience and global links as a member of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the international non-profit research and policy organisation for sustainability policy and practice.
Piran White finished his time as Co-Director for Environment & Geography at the end of December 2022. Piran has been part of the team since the initiation of the International Development Network, through to the inception of the IGDC and has been a major part of all IGDC’s achievements to date. IGDC are extremely appreciative of his hard work and contribution over the last five years.
Jonathan joins IGDC Co-Directors Henrice Altink from the Department of History and Indrajit Roy from the Department of Politics.
