Friday Mindfulness

After another busy week, wind down with a mindfulness session.

When: Every Friday from 1pm to 2pm

Where:

The location will be the Berrick Saul Building each week thereafter (the room changes each week, please request to join the Google group by emailing megan.russell@york.ac.uk in order to be kept in the loop).

A qualified instructor will lead you through a combination of meditation, mindfulness, gentle stretching and breathwork to help you wind down and get ready for a restful weekend.

The sessions are completely free and there is no need to register - just turn up!

If possible, please arrive a few minutes before the session so that you can choose a space for you and your mat and get settled.

What to bring

Please bring with you:

  • a yoga mat
  • your own water bottle (if you would like to)

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move - there's no need to go and buy all new yoga-attire, jogging bottoms or shorts will do!

If you do have any existing injuries or medical conditions that could affect your yoga practice, please inform the yoga instructor at the beginning of the session so that she is aware and can guide you through the session safely.
