Event details

We're delighted to announce the finalists in our HRC doctoral fellowships competition. They are:

  • Katie Vernon (Centre for Medieval Studies)
  • Hannah Armstrong (English and Related Literature)
  • Georgia Gerson (History of Art)
  • Eimear Hurley (School of Arts and Creative Technologies - Music)
  • Rachel Feldberg (History)
  • Ben Gibb-Reid (Language and Linguistic Science)

Tea and coffee will be provided from 1pm and the event itself will start at 1.10pm. Everyone is invited to join the event. There'll be opportunities to join in discussions with the candidates, inspired by their presentations, or simply to observe and listen if you prefer. We'll announce the award of the fellowships and the prizes for those who were judged by the panel to have given the best presentations.

The presentations will be assessed by a panel of judges, which will comprise Professor Richard Ogden (HRC Director), Professor Jonathan Finch (HRC Deputy-Director), and Dr Alexandra Woodall (Head of Public Engagement, Curatorial and Collections at York Museums Trust). Afternoon tea will be served from 2.50pm while the judges make their decisions.

We hope that many of you will come along to join in what should be a stimulating and enjoyable event. We look forward to seeing you there!
