Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities 2024/25
With generous funding from the Wolfson Foundation, the Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships fund doctoral research in three areas: History, Literature and Languages.
The Wolfson Foundation awards funding to outstanding students who demonstrate the potential to make an impact on their chosen field. There are three scholarships available for 2024/25, generally expected to represent each of the three areas: History, Literature, and Languages. This includes history of art. More information about eligibility can be found on the funding web page.
Each scholarship offers £35,000 per student per year (i.e. £105,000 over three years) and covers:
- Tuition fees (at home or overseas rate)
- Maintenance, research, travel and training costs (where there is remaining balance)
You can visit the University's Wolfson funding web page to find out more information, and to apply. You must have applied for a PhD at York to apply for this funding.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 24th January 5pm GMT.
