Introduction
Led by the Head of Department, Karl Atkin, and members of the Department's Senior Management Team, and supported by the University via a Faculty Working Group for Health Sciences and a Programme Operational Group, this programme brings together several change projects in the area of professional education.
The transition programme will implement the department’s strategic vision to promote a sustainable future for the department. The programme includes projects such as developing the new curricula, developing staff, improving the student experience and considering how we can develop and respond to new opportunities as they arise. This will be done through consultation with staff, engagement with students, practice partners and other internal and external stakeholders, workforce planning, open communication and a focus on ensuring that teaching and research in the department continues to be of the highest standard.
