How the study works
The first step in our project was to translate and then back translate the ReQol from English to Dutch by two independent translators. Then, the newly translated questionnaire was piloted to ensure the items included are easily understood in the Dutch version, and to check that the Dutch version is both a valid and reliable measure of the ReQol. For this purpose, the Dutch ReQoL was administered in two samples: 62 students completed the ReQoL-20, MANSA, EQ-5D-5L, PHQ-9 and GAD-7 through an online survey link. The ReQoL was tested for reliability and a first impression was obtained of convergent and known group validity. In addition, 164 patients with a psychotic disorder that were part of the UP’S cohort study of Erasmus University completed the ReQoL-10, PHQ9 and GAD-7.
