Delirium in palliative care public involvement group

Our Public Involvement group is made up of people who have experience of delirium or palliative care as patients or carers. These experiences are valuable and can help to develop our research to improve the care of people with delirium in the future. Our group contribute to developing research on delirium in many ways, including:

  • Advice on approaches to research in hospices and care homes
  • Input into writing and reviewing study documents and reports
  • Contributing to the design of interventions
  • Creative ways of sharing the results of research

The ways in which group members can get involved are flexible, depending on individual preferences and needs. We have meetings twice a year, or group members can contribute their ideas via phone or email. Members can get involved as much or as little as works for them.

Group members are reimbursed for their involvement and for travel and other expenses.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Imogen Featherstone (imogen.featherstone@york.ac.uk) or Rebecca Woodhouse (rebecca.woodhouse@york.ac.uk).
