Profile

Biography

Pengfei is currently under the supervision of Professor Peter Coventry and Dr Mariya Geneshka to explore the longitudinal associations between different environmental factors (natural, built, and social environments) and mental health, using datasets including UK Biobank, with a focus on older adults. Based on these findings, Pengfei aims to provide recommendations for relevant policies and interventions to improve the well-being of older adults.

Pengfei completed her master's research degree in School of Public Health, Fudan University, where her research focused on the relationship between residential greenness and the mental and cognitive health of older adults.  She also worked as a part-time research assistant in Department of Social Work, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on mental health and influencing factors among older adults.

Pengfei has experience in epidemiological research on the mental health of older adults.

Overview

Pengfei's research interest lies in exploring the environmental factors that affect mental health, which can provide recommendations for preventing and treating mental disorders from the perspective of improving living environments, ultimately enhancing the health and well-being of the population.
