Biography
Qi has been working as a health economist in the Department of Health Sciences since 2010. She holds an MSc in Health Economics and a BSc in Biology, with a specific focus on human diseases. Her principal areas of expertise involve economic evaluation alongside clinical trials, and the applications of decision-analytic modelling. She also has an interest in Cost of Illness studies, which assess the economic burden of diseases on society as a whole.
Her research portfolio includes economic evaluations across a diverse range of diseases and conditions. She has a particular interest in the field of addiction, with substantial research work related to smoking cessation and alcohol consumption. Another key focus area for Qi is mental health, where she has conducted research on conditions such as depression and serious mental illnesses.
