Biography
Maisie joined York Trials Unit in June 2022, whilst in the final stages of completing her PhD in mechanisms of cancer pain at the University of Leeds. Maisie has previous trial management experience from Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research at the University of Leeds and Covance.

Projects
- RESTART PD - A multicentre, two-arm, non-blinded, pragmatic, parallel group, randomised controlled superiority trial with the aim of assessing the clinical and cost effectiveness of Reality DTx®compared with traditional physiotherapy for patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
- SCOOTT - A multi-centre, superiority and non-inferiority three-arm RCT to assess the clinical and cost effectiveness of treating arthritis of the base of the thumb, with or without surgery and to determine the clinical and cost effectiveness of trapeziectomy versus base of thumb joint replacement.
- SHED SSc: Sharp debridement of digital ulcers in Systemic Sclerosis: a multi-centre randomised controlled feasibility study.
