Biography
Kate Hicks has worked as a trial coordinator at York Trials Unit since 2008. She is currently part of a team coordinating the E-PLAYS-2 (Enhancing Pragmatic Language skills for Young children with Social communication impairment) trial. She has previous experience in coordinating both CTIMP and non-CTIMP studies, having worked on EVERT (Effective Verruca Treatments), BreatheMOR-HF (morphine for breathlessness in heart failure), BRIGHT (Brushing RemInder 4 Good oral HealTh) and SWIFFT (Scaphoid Waist Internal Fixation for Fractures). Prior to joining York Trials Unit, Kate worked in the commercial sector as a medical writer and as a researcher within two pharma consultancy groups.
