Kasia joined YTU in August 2024, bringing with her a strong background in project coordination and research. Prior to this, she contributed to a business transition initiative at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) as a Programme Coordinator, working collaboratively as part of a large team over a nine-month period.
With nine years of experience at the University of Sheffield, Kasia has a proven track record of managing and delivering complex environmental and medical research projects. Her work has been distinguished by her ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative efforts with academic institutions, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and veterinary organisations.
Kasia completed her part-time PhD in just four years, focusing on corneal eye infections. Her research involved developing and optimising an ex vivo infection model using pig, sheep, and human corneas for testing and improving treatments for biofilm infections.
Kasia’s background combines research expertise with a solid foundation in project management.
