PCMIS finalist of EHI awards 2015

Posted on 4 August 2015

PCMIS has made it to the finals of the EHI awards 2015 - rewarding excellence in healthcare IT - the UK's only dedicated healthcare IT award scheme.

PCMIS is an evidence-based Patient Case Management Information System, designed by the Department of Health Sciences, which provides real-time information on patient outcomes, clinical supervision, psychological treatment regimes, clinical staff and patient contact activity levels and treatment plans used by a wide range of health services in the UK and Australia.

It was chosen by the Department of Health to support the first IAPT Pathfinder sites as part of the first phase of a national rollout.

The EHI awards bring together over 700 of the country's top IT and clinical professionals from the NHS along with supplier companies hosting their customers.

The awards celebrate the great IT and informatics work going on in the NHS and private healthcare services within the UK.

The joint PCMIS entry, with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, is a finalist in the "best use of IT to support clinical treatment and care category.", which focuses on projects, programmes and teams that use IT to improve clinical treatment and care.

Byron George, PCMIS Director, said: "We are really delighted to be a finalist in this year's EHI awards. We are passionate about making a difference and knowing that in partnership with NHS services we are able to demonstrate that PCMIS is having a positive impact on the public health through innovative IT solutions and evidence based research."

The winner will be announced at an awards gala dinner on Thursday 1 October in London.
