This MSc provides an ideal training for anyone wanting to become a professional researcher in health, or for anyone wishing to develop a career in the health sector, where the ability to take a critical, evidence-based approach to health problems and solutions is increasingly valued. The programme is particularly relevant to science and social science graduates. A number of our students on this pathway have upgraded to MPhil or PhD study.

The course offers students an excellent grounding in applied health research methods, including systematic reviews, RCTs, epidemiology, applied statistics, qualitative methods and health economics.

Find out more about what our students think of the course: the Masters in Applied Health Research web page also contains a series of 'week in the life' diaries which have been written by current students.
