There are growing numbers of children and young people living with a life-limiting condition (LLC) in England. These children and young people often require high levels of health care throughout their lives and may benefit from input from palliative care services. Martin House Children’s Hospice (www.martinhouse.org.uk) has funded this PhD studentship in order to produce research evidence that enhances the delivery of care within Martin House and to paediatric palliative care services more widely. Start date: January 2015.
Proposals for a PhD project under one of the following three themes are invited:
Recognition of palliative care needs
Acceptance and use of palliative care services
Aspects of delivery of clinical care.
Staff support: needs and/or interventions
Resource planning
Applications should be received no later than 30th October 2014 before 4.00pm. More information.
