This is the fifth year that the University of York Students’ Union (YUSU) has invited students to nominate the ‘Supervisor of the Year’. Over 250 nominations were received and Anne was awarded 'Supervisor of the Year' because the range of supportive statements included in her nomination stood out from the rest. Her welcoming, approachable and supportive attitude, her knack of offering constructive feedback in a professional and courteous manner without causing offence and her ability to encourage students to be the very best they can, were all cited as reasons for why she deserved this award.
Congratulations to Anne for this much deserved accolade.
At the same event, Dr Karen Spilsbury also received a certificate recognising her ‘consistently excellent supervision’ of students.
