Biography
Yan is a Research Fellow / Trial Manager in the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group in the Department of Health Sciences.
Yan has more than 12 years’ experience in global health research as a mixed methods researcher. Her implementation research has seen her living across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
With a background in Health Economics and Public Health, much of Yan's research has focussed on intervention development and testing, health systems strengthening and research capacity strengthening. More recently, Yan has been developing a research portfolio in global mental health research.

- BSc Public Management, with Honours, Harbin Medical University, China
Research
Overview
Yan has a keen interest in applied health research in general, and specifically in smoke cessation, maternal mental health, research capacity strengthening and community health systems strengthening.
