Jemima's PhD research is focused on identifying and exploring the contextual factors influencing citizens' engagement in health purchasing decisions under the National Health Insurance Scheme in the context of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) in urban Ghana. The research study also examines effective mechanisms that can be put in place to identify and reflect urban-poor resident’s needs, preferences, and values, and ensure accountability from purchasers and health providers.
