Profile

Biography

Silke is a health psychologist with a specialisation in clinical child and youth psychology, and further experience in sports psychology research, physiotherapy, sexology, and epidemiology. 

Silke has been assisting and teaching on multiple modules of the department’s Masters in Public Health and is completing a PhD investigating Syndemics in vulnerable populations (youth and people with SMI) with a focus on the role of health behaviours in health experience.

Overview

Silke’s current research interests centre around global public health, with a focus on the possible ways to encourage and support health behaviours through social prescribing, and the role of exposure to nature in health
