Sarah undertook a BSc in Nursing at what is now Leeds Metropolitan University and qualified as an Adult nurse in 1992. She initially worked at The Leeds General Infirmary and then onto Chapel Allerton and Wharfedale General Hospitals for 10 years before moving onto Harrogate where she worked in Intensive Care for 6 years
In 2009, Sarah completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Professional Education at the University of Huddersfield with particular emphasis on teaching and learning styles related to resuscitation. She has been at the University of York since the 2005
Special interests include Infection Prevention and Control and clinical skills and simulated learning.
Sarah currently manages and contributes to the mandatory training for all students on the undergraduate programme including basic and intermediate life support, infection prevention and control and moving and handling.
