Rebekah joined the York Trials Unit as a Research Fellow (Trial Coordinator) in February 2024. Before joining the unit, Rebekah worked as a Trial Manager at the Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Leeds, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Nottingham and the University of Manchester.
Rebekah has an interest and expertise in clinical trial and project management, and working with the NHS to deliver interventions through to implementation into usual care.
Rebekah currently works on the YorQuit Trial, which tests different methods to increase smoking cessation among patients most at risk of lung cancer.
Rebekah is a member of the Athena Swan Working Group (Career Progression and Pay Gap Group), the Green Impact initiative, and the Rainbow Alliance.
Rebekah’s research experience and interests are varied, with an overarching focus on psychiatry, and medicine.
Rebekah has worked on a myriad of trials including those studying dementia, autism spectrum disorders, major trauma and injury, smoking cessation, familial hypercholesterolaemia, atrial fibrillation, and late-phase cancer drug interventions.
