Qian joined the Department of Health Sciences in April 2023.
Previously in his career, Qian worked as a Research Associate in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to develop a microsimulation Markov model to investigate the cost-effectiveness of incorporating automatic grading software in the systematic screening for diabetic retinopathy in Hong Kong.
Qian also has 2 years’ industry experience in consultancy, specializing in developing early-stage and global core models in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, hemispheric infarction, urinary tract infection and obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy to support the company submissions to different HTA bodies.
Qian’s research interests are trial/model-based economic evaluation on healthcare interventions.
