I have a background in Psychology and a strong interest in Health and Exercise Psychology. My doctorate degree explored the psychological mechanisms that facilitate or thwart physical activity behaviour and aligned with my passion for promoting and developing successful health interventions to target inequalities and the challenges to adopting and maintaining healthy living.
I am an experienced qualitative and quantitative researcher, having worked on multiple projects assessing drugs and addiction, physical activity and community based initiatives, using multiple methods including participatory health and co-design approaches.
I am currently working with the team on the AMICABLE (Assessing Mental Health In Custody, A Brief Learning Environment) project which involves testing a peer led mentoring scheme at a number of different prison sites.
