Kate Hicks has worked as a trial coordinator at York Trials Unit since 2008. She is currently part of a team coordinating the BreatheMOR-HF (morphine for breathlessness in heart failure) study. She has previous experience in coordinating both CTIMP and non-CTIMP studies, having worked on the EVERT (Effective Verruca Treatments) trial and the Explaining Tests in RACPC (Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic) pilot trial. Prior to joining York Trials Unit, Kate worked in the commercial sector as a medical writer and as a researcher within two consultancy groups.
Kate's research interests include trials evaluating healthcare interventions.
