Biography

Jenny received her PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2015 for her research pertaining to the health of mothers of children with developmental disabilities. From 2016-2017 she was a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia where she used linked registry data to ascertain the relationship of socio-economic status, depression and anti-depressant use during pregnancy. Jenny started as a Research Fellow in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York in January, 2018. Initially, she will be evaluating the effectiveness of two health interventions using routinely collected health data.

Research

Overview

Jenny's primary interest is using routinely collected registry data to explore health retrospectively. Areas explored to date range from perinatal health, maternal health, autism and intellectual disability.

Projects

Jenny is currently preparing to evaluate a child asthma health intervention and a self-management intervention for older people with mild frailty. Both evaluations will use linked data.

Jenny would be interested in supervising PhDs in topics related to perinatal health and maternal health and/or disability which primarily use linked data for evaluations.
