James completed an MSc in Psychological Research Methods with Advanced Statistics in 2020, and worked as a data analyst in an NHS
research team before starting a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Sheffield in 2021.
James joined the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York in 2024 as a Research Associate on the Born in Bradford, Age of
Wonder project.
James’s research interests include applying advanced statistics and data science methods to large, observational datasets to advance
understanding and treatment of mental health problems.
