Biography
Han-I is a research fellow in the York Trial Unit (YTU). She completed her Doctorate in health economics at the University of York in 2011 and worked in the Epidemiology Cancer Statistics Group (ECSG) (2011-2019) and the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG) (2019-2023) before joining YTU in 2023.
Han-I specialises in economic evaluation, health outcome research and decision modelling. Her main research interests revolve around economic evaluation in the domains of cancers, mental health conditions, and chronic diseases, using large and complex patient-level data and cohort or patient-level simulation techniques. She is currently exploring the potential application of machine learning in the realm of economic evaluation and health outcome research. Han-I works closely with academic research teams and government bodies, both within and outside the University, to further her research objectives.
