Gerardo has a PhD in public health epidemiology, focusing on the co-morbidity of infectious diseases and nutrition in Mexico and Cuba. Now he is a research fellow within the IMPACT programme working on the comorbidity of mental and physical health in South-Asia.
His research interests are public health epidemiology in developing countries and the influence of nutrition in physical and mental health.
Gerardo would be interested in supervising PhDs in global health, nutrition, infectious diseases, and severe or common mental health illness.
