Della developed her clinical career within both the voluntary sector and the NHS. She worked in the voluntary sector developing and delivering services for those experiencing dementia and their carers. Della was fortunate enough to experience the birth of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service and developed and delivered psychological interventions to those experiencing common mental health problems within this service. Subsequently, she was able to use this experience as a lecturer on the IAPT Psychological Practitioner training course before joining the research team. She currently delivers collaborative care and provides supervision to practitioners within the CASPER trial as well as developing materials for use by participants.
Della's research interests are in self-help interventions for common mental health problems and the development of accessible written material for use in guided self-help.
