Darren joined the York Trials Unit in November 2023 as part of the Research Support Service. He has over 20 years of research and has held post-doctoral positions at the universities of East Anglia, Cambridge and Hertfordshire.
Darren's research interests include: developmental disorders, working memory, adolescent mental health, emotional granularity (how we recognise and differentiate between our emotions) and mindfulness. He has also conducted several meta-analyses.
His research crosscuts interventions (does it work?) with basic science (how does it work?).
