CFH awarded final year of funding from the Wellcome Trust

The money will be used to support two overarching objectives:

• offering additional support for work in the area of health and wellbeing adversely impacted by COVID, funding for research aimed at learning lessons from and building back stronger from the pandemic, and for exploring ways of building resilience and capacity in the face of future pandemics
• promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity in health and wellbeing research

A funding call is planned for the autumn term. There are also plans for a new Fellowship scheme to support those who have just completed a PhD to continue to build outputs and impacts from their thesis and new lines of enquiry which will in turn enable them to put together stronger external fellowship applications.
