Ohood is PhD researcher in the Department of Environment and Geography, supervised by Dr. Colin McClean and Dr. Marco Sakai. Her project is about Modelling Groundwater Potential Zones (MGPZ) using geographical information system (GIS) and remote sensing methods and understanding how climate change could affect groundwater resources in arid regions and analysing the future water demand under the socio-economic scenarios.
The main research interests are Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and remote sensing in environmental issues as well as water deficiency in arid environments. I obtained MSc in Geography and GIS and then went on to work as a lecturer at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. I received a scholarship to complete my PhD in Environmental Geography at the University of York.
