University of York announces shortlist for the prestigious Enterprise Awards 2024

The University of York is delighted to announce the shortlist for the highly anticipated Enterprise Awards 2024. These awards highlight the remarkable talent driving economic growth and social impact in the region, showcasing the outstanding achievements and contributions to the vibrant enterprise ecosystem of York and North Yorkshire.

Professor Kiran Trehan, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Partnerships and Engagement at the University of York, emphasized the significance of the Enterprise Awards: "This year’s awards celebrate the unwavering spirit of entrepreneurialism, exemplary leadership, and commitment to social responsibility exhibited by businesses and individuals across various sectors. We encourage deserving businesses and individuals who are making a positive difference in their communities and industries to apply and be recognized for their achievements."

The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 17th July 2024, at the prestigious Merchant Adventurers Hall. The event will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and change-makers from across the region for an inspiring celebration of excellence, innovation, and impact in the business community.

Andy Callaghan, a previous award winner from Jammed, shared his experience: "York is a fantastic place to do business, with ample opportunities for growth and a supportive ecosystem. The University's support has been invaluable, and winning the award last year was a significant boost and really encouraging recognition for my business. I wish all the nominees and entrants the best of luck this year!"

The Enterprise Awards 2024 feature six categories, with the following businesses and individuals shortlisted:
