'Still I Rise': International Women's Poetry

We hope that you will join us in celebrating the poetic and political achievements of women writers across the globe. Please feel free to come along to any or all of the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Call for speakers: If you would like to read a poem/s at this event, please contact Hannah Roche (hannah.roche@york.ac.uk). We hope to celebrate the international aspect of International Women's Day and would love to hear poetry recited in its native language and then in translation, as well as poems that have been written in English. We are encouraging diversity and would like to represent BAME poets, poets with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ poets. If any of our talented creative writers would like to read their own work, we would love to hear from them.
