Congratulations to Tierney Holloway, who has reached the final of the TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards in the category of Impactful Social Action.
Tierney is Social Secretary for NightSafe, a group providing support and signposting to students, and helped to secure a YuFund grant of over £5,000 in order to give over 40 volunteers mental health training for their shifts next year.
She is also a Supervisor for YuCall, the University's fundraising telethon, and has helped to run four campaigns raising over £150,000 for bursaries and grants for students at the University.
Run in collaboration with the #iwill campaign and Teach First, the TARGETjobs Awards feature 12 prestigious categories. The 2018 competition attracted more than 3,300 students from just under 200 different universities. Tierney, currently in the final year of her BA in English, will attend the final this coming Friday (20th April).
