Emilie Morin - Times Literary Supplement 'Book of the Year'

Emilie Morin's book, 'Beckett's Political Imagination' (Cambridge University Press) has been chosen as one of the Times Literary Supplement's Books of the Year, noting that it 'breaks new ground in reconstructing left-wing commitments in Ireland and France.'

Beckett is not traditionally considered to be a political writer. In her book, Emilie Morin reveals a very different figure, whose career and work were shaped by a unique exposure to international politics, an unconventional perspective on political action and secretive political engagements.
