His paper, 'The Duchess of Malfi: Timekeeping and Jacobean Tragedy' won the award, in a very strong line-up. The event took place on 27 February and was organised by the Department's Renaissance School.
Students presented their own research on all aspects of the Renaissance with the help of a team of postgraduate students, who mentored and assisted the undergradates in preparing their talks. The prize itself was awarded for both academic excellence and sheer theatre of delivery. Commendations were given to Olivia Hutchinson, Amelia Pickard, Sam Perks, Ruth Ramsden-Karelse, Abigail Richards and Isabelle Wynne.
