The winners of the THE Awards for 2013 will be announced at a gala banquet at Grosvenor House in London on 28th November. York has done well in the THE Awards in recent years, winning University of the Year in 2010.
The Cambridge History of South African Literature covers the literatures of all of the eleven official languages of South Africa (as well as some lesser known ones), and is therefore the country's first properly national literary history. The work of 42 authors, the volume covers the entire range from the oral culture of indigenous communities to contemporary fiction, from pre-colonial times to post-apartheid democracy.
