Speaker(s): Professor Helen Smith (University of York)
The University of York is proud to be partnering once again with Shakespeare's Rose Theatre for a summer of Shakespeare. As part of this partnership, there will be four FREE special pre-show Shakespeare talks held in King's Manor featuring leading experts in the field.
Twelfth Night is a play about gender, about doubling, about the expressions and suppressions of love and about the imperative to survive. Come along to this free talk and explore some of its textual detail, and its history in print and performance with Professor Helen Smith to enhance your enjoyment of the production at Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre.
Talks are free to attend but must be pre-booked. To book tickets, and for all further details, please see University Open Lectures website.
Location: Room K/133, King's Manor
