Tuesday 16 July 2019, 5.15PM to 6.15pm
Speaker(s): Professor Judith Buchanan (University of York)
The University of York is proud to be partnering once again with Shakespeare's Rose Theatre for a summer of Shakespeare. As part of this partnership, there will be four FREE special pre-show Shakespeare talks held in King's Manor featuring leading experts in the field.
The Tempest is both a strange and wonderful play and a play about strangeness and wonder. Come along to this free talk and explore some of its strangeness and some of its wonder through looking at its textual detail with Professor Judith Buchanan. Knowing more about the detail of the play and of its history in performance will also enhance your enjoyment of the production at Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre.
Talks are free to attend but must be pre-booked. To book tickets, and for all further details, please see University Open Lectures website.
Location: Room K/133, King's Manor
