Friday 28 June 2019, 5.15PM to 6.15pm
Speaker(s): Professor Emma Smith (University of Oxford)
The University of York is proud to be partnering once again with Shakespeare's Rose Theatre for a summer of Shakespeare. As part of this partnership, there will be four FREE special pre-show Shakespeare talks held in King's Manor featuring leading experts in the field.
Henry V is a rousing play fully of memorable and stirring lines. But it is not simply a play that celebrates war and heroics in war: it is also a play that questions war and the right conduct of war.
Talks are free to attend but must be pre-booked. To book tickets, and for all further details, please see University Open Lectures website.
Location: Room K/133, King's Manor
